CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead after a shooting in a Steele Creek apartment complex early Monday morning, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said. Officers responded to the complex on Rachel Freeman Way, just off Steele Creek Road, early Monday when they found a victim who had been shot.
