June 4, 1945 – February 3, 2024 - Shelby Cameron (Smeed) Crecraft, born June 4, 1945, passed away unexpectedly on February 3, 2024 in Sherwood, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Kenneth Smeed and Eve Cameron Smeed; her brother James Smeed; and only one week earlier, her husband of 60 years, Thomas Raymond Crecraft, Jr.

Shelby is survived by her daughters, Kelly Crecraft Marks (Gary) and Jill Crecraft (Dan Marrin); granddaughters Samantha and Meaghan Marks; and great-grandchildren Gabriel and Evelyn.

Born in Sherwood, Oregon, Shelby cherished her rural upbringing, enjoying horseback riding and country life. Shelby was known for her talents as an artisan, owning her own successful jewelry business, Pure Pizazz. Shelby and her husband, Tom, graciously opened their home to many exchange students over the years, creating lifelong memories for the lives they touched. Shelby enjoyed traveling and served her community with joy. Her warm and compassionate spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her passing leaves a significant void in the lives of her family and friends, who will always remember her for her beauty, inside and out. She was truly a force of nature.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Shelby and Tom at Our Table in Sherwood from 11am-1pm on July 28, 2024. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Providence Cancer Institute or Doctors without Borders, both organizations were important to Shelby and Tom.
