Nicki Minaj Wins Legal Battle Against YouTuber Who Called Her A ‘Cokehead’

Nicki Minaj has reached a settlement with a YouTuber, Marley Green, who made some controversial statements about her, including using cocaine.

In 2022, Nicki Minaj filed a $75,000 defamation lawsuit against a blogger, Marley Green – who goes by the social media persona Nosey Heaux, who called her a “cokehead” and claimed the rapper was known for “shoving” cocaine up her nose.

In the complaint, Minaj said Marley Green “falsely and maliciously” called her a drug addict in a Twitter video posted Monday that “outrageously defamed” her and sparked a “firestorm of social media attention.”

“Minaj is shoving all of this cocaine up her nose. Allegedly. Thank you. Allegedly. But we all know it’s correct. Fuck – listen, I can’t even say “allegedly” because we all know it’s true. I am not saying allegedly about that. “Nicki Minaj is a cokehead,” Green says in a clip from the video used in the lawsuit.

According to the complaint, filed in federal court in New York, Green also made “vile comments” about Minaj’s one-year-old son. These statements were not actionable, but Minaj believes they demonstrate Green’s “fundamental lack of decency” and should be considered as the rapper seeks punitive damages.

Minaj’s lawsuit continued, “Green’s video statement was false because the plaintiff has never used cocaine. Green’s lie would have been meaningless in a different age, as she is the ultimate ‘nobody’ with a history of criminal charges, bail jumping, and bad debts. However, in this age of social media, a ‘nobody’ can find an undeserved following through relentless self-promotion.”

Now, the rapper has emerged victorious and reached an agreement in the retraction lawsuit. As part of the settlement, Green agreed not to speak publicly about Nicki, her husband Kenneth Petty, or her son Papa Bear in the future.

Marley Green also has to admit that “everything she said about Nicki Minaj using or abusing cocaine was false,” admitting “she never had any evidence of Nicki Minaj using or abusing cocaine or any other drug.”

If Green breaches the agreement, she must pay Nicki $50,000 for each offense, according to reports.
