Tennis star Naomi Osaka has candidly discussed her childbirth experience, revealing that it was “traumatic” and that she doesn’t plan on having “many more” children.

The four-time Grand Slam champion recently responded to pregnancy rumors, putting an end to speculation after a fan suggested she was expecting another child.

Naomi Osaka stunned the tennis world when she announced on social media that she was expecting her first child in 2023 with a photo of what appeared to be a pregnancy scan. The huge news came just three days after the Japanese star pulled out of the Australian Open, leaving fans devastated.

The four-time major winner’s withdrawal sparked speculation that she was about to quit her tennis career, but the 25-year-old insisted she was looking forward to returning once she put to birth.

“Can’t wait to get back on the court, but here’s a little life update for 2023,” she wrote. “I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future; one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, ‘that’s my mom’, haha.'”

Osaka, who welcomed her first daughter in July 2023, quickly responded to the rumors on social media.

The four-time Grand Slam singles winner responded on TikTok to a comment claiming she was “expecting again”.

The tennis star revealed that, while she enjoys motherhood, she does not intend to have “many more” children due to the difficult experience she had with childbirth.

“I just want to say I’m not preggos,” she shared, speaking softly on video.

Osaka added, “But if I were, I wouldn’t want many more because giving birth was traumatic. Thank you, though, for your blessings.”

Osaka won her first Grand Slam singles title in 2018, defeating Serena Williams at the US Open. She went on to win the 2019 and 2021 Australian Opens, as well as the 2020 US Open.
