A recent social media post from rapper Latto has shocked fans, potentially resurrecting her past feud with rapper Nicki Minaj.

The feud between Nicki Minaj and Latto dates back to 2022 when Nicki Minaj expressed frustration upon learning that her highly successful single, Super Freaky Girl (2022), was not being considered for hip-hop categories at the upcoming Grammys.

Nicki Minaj pulled Latto’s “Big Energy,” which was eligible in the rap category, into the fray after it was revealed that “Super Freaky Girl” was moved from the rap field to pop on the 2023 Grammy ballot.

She directed her dissatisfaction towards Latto, implying that if her “Super Freaky Girl” is not recognized in that category, other pop-adjacent rap tracks, such as Latto’s “Big Energy,” should also be overlooked. She stressed that Dr. Luke produced both tracks, so fairness should be maintained. Nicki stated that anyone who disagreed with this viewpoint was either a “Nicki hater or a troll.”

Latto initially refused to respond publicly to Nicki but later revealed that she attempted to have a private conversation, which didn’t go so well. She voiced that she had been unfairly singled out for something she felt she had not done.

However, fans pointed out that Nicki’s utterances might have arisen from tweets that Latto posted a week prior, which some interpreted as directed towards Nicki.

Now, it appears that Latto’s Twitter was hacked overnight, and the shocking posts sent fans into a frenzy.

The “Big Energy” hitmaker’s Twitter account posted unauthorized shade tweets towards fellow musicians on Saturday, September 8.

Following the hack, one of the tweets targeted Nicki Minaj. “F**k Nicki Minaj, that fat b***h,” the post said. Another tweet slammed SZA, saying, “what’s a Solana,” referring to the “Good Days” singer’s real name, Solana Imani Rowe.

While hacker rumors continue to spread, skeptics question the timing of the claim. Some believe Latto’s team is using the “hacker” narrative to defuse the situation before it gets out of hand.

Will Nicki respond to Latto’s apparent diss, or will the Queen of Rap let his slide?
