Nicki Minaj Claims Jay Z’s ‘Hate’ For Her Motivated Lil Wayne Super Bowl Halftime Snub

Nicki Minaj has accused Jay-Z of using his influence to prevent Lil Wayne from headlining the Super Bowl 2025 Halftime Show.

Nicki Minaj will not take what she sees as disrespect towards Lil Wayne in silence, even if it comes from JAY-Z.

Fans of Lil Wayne are furious that Kendrick Lamar has been chosen to headline the Super Bowl. Weezy Empire believes he is the best choice to perform at the Super Bowl and is perplexed by the decision to book the Crompton rapper.

They argue that Lil Wayne should have been given the headline spot because he is from New Orleans. The Super Bowl will be in New Orleans this year.

Following Lil Wayne’s long-time engineer and daughter, Reginae Carter, speaking up, Nicki Minaj has also added her voice against the decision to use Kendrick Lamar for Super Bowl halftime.

The Pink Friday 2 star expressed her feelings in a series of posts on her X handle.

Nicki Minaj defended her legendary boss, Lil Wayne, whom she believes should have received the opportunity, especially given that the 2025 event will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She wrote, “Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego. Your hatred for Birdman, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?! Lil Wayne! The GOAT! Nola, what’s good?!

“Eminem stood firm on having 50Cent come out. A white man. Sht sad. House ngger timz. But it’s good fi dem! No loyalty? Welp. Then n*ggaz will keep son’ing you!”

Minaj went on to say that Lil Wayne’s talent and grace have had an impact on the hip hop world. She mentioned that Wayne brought some hip-hop greats, including herself and Drake, to the forefront.
