In an Oct. 13 post, Simone highlighted the unexpected but profound support she received from former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and their daughter Chelsea Clinton during a pivotal federal court case involving the Fearless Fund, a venture capital firm dedicated to funding women of color.

In her post, Simone opened up about her path from growing up in Detroit with big dreams to receiving an invitation from the Clintons to speak at their prestigious Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) annual meeting.

“I’ve always known from a little girl growing up in Detroit that God had/has big plans for me,” Simone wrote, “but I never imagined that Presidents past and present of various countries were part of my story.”

Simone’s work with the Fearless Fund, which has gained international recognition for its commitment to closing the funding gap for women of color, caught the attention of the Clintons during the court case.

The Clinton family not only sent a congratulatory letter acknowledging her achievements but also spoke highly of Simone and the Fearless Fund in key spaces.
