Juvenile flown to the hospital following motorcycle wreck in Shinnston

SHINNSTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — A juvenile was flown to the hospital Tuesday night after a multi-vehicle wreck in Shinnston that involved a motorcycle.

According to an official with the Harrison County 911 Center, at around 9:39 p.m., crews were alerted to a vehicle accident with injuries on East Avenue at the intersection of Harp Lane.

Crews on scene were able to confirm that two vehicles were involved, one of which was a motorcycle, and that a juvenile had sustained injuries that required them to be flown to the hospital for further treatment.

911 officials did not specify the cause of the wreck nor if the juvenile was on the motorcycle or in the vehicle.

Crews from the Shinnston Volunteer Fire Department, Bridgeport Fire Department, Lumberport Fire Department, Shinnston Police Department, Harrison County Sheriff’s Office and Harrison County EMS responded to this call.
