Former UVA Rowing Star Samaniego added to Coaching Staff
Charlottesville, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) UVA Rowing Head Coach Wes Ng had made a familiar addition to his coaching staff. Helen (Tompkins) Samaniego was a star for the Cavaliers from 2006-10, during her senior year on the Varsity Eight for UVA, she helped win the first NCAA team championship in the rowing program’s history. She comes off the heels of another NCAA championship as Coach at Texas last season.
