Weaver returns to CHS cheer — this time as coach
The Cleveland High School cheer team has a new head coach, and it's one of their former cheerleaders, Maddison Weaver. “It means so much to me to be back at Cleveland. Being an alumni and past cheerleader, I couldn’t be more excited to give back to the school and program that shaped me,” Weaver said. “Another big push schoolwide this year is to bring back that ‘electric’ school spirit that Cleveland is known for.”

Expected water outage in Portales
If you are a resident of Portales living in the area of North Ave B, West Ivy, and the surrounding areas, do not be alarmed at an expected water outage tomorrow. On July 16th, from 8 AM to around 3 PM, the city will be updating the infrastructure around the area. Corona Field Day to highlight tech, research
Taylor Andrews counts herself among the lucky ones who gets to conduct unique research at New Mexico State University’s Corona Range and Livestock Research Center. Andrews is a doctoral student majoring in animal science at NMSU, and has worked as a graduate assistant in Corona for three years. She has completed three dissertation projects at the center, located eight miles east of Corona, where she has found a second home of sorts.
