Pharmaceutical maker expands with Shirley lease

American Regent Inc., a manufacturer of injectable generic and branded pharmaceuticals, is expanding in Shirley.

The company leased 43,000 square feet of industrial space at 20 Ramsey Road. The new space is across the street from the 72,000-square-foot building at 5 Ramsey Road that American Regent owns and operates out of.

American Regent is a subsidiary of Daiichi Sankyo Group, a publicly traded global pharmaceutical conglomerate headquartered in Tokyo. Daiichi Sankyo reported fiscal 2023 sales of 1,601.7 billion yen or about $10.15 billion U.S.

Luciano Oliverio and Gary Chimeri of Paramount Properties Group represented the tenant, while the landlord, Milvado Property Group, was self-represented in the Shirley lease transaction.

“After a lengthy site selection process due to the tenant’s strict regulatory criteria, we were able to secure a lease within a stone’s throw from their current campus with one of Long Island’s largest landlords, Milvado Property Group,” Oliverio told LIBN. “Having the ability to grow within their portfolio was a deciding factor.”
