Lake County, Illinois – Fireworks Destroy Two Homes Early Friday Morning
Wadsworth, IL – Two residential fires in Lake County, likely caused by fireworks, have left one home completely destroyed and another severely damaged. According to Lake County Sheriff’s Police it began early Friday around 12:50 a.m., when Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies and local fire agencies responded to a fire on Charlotte Drive, Wadsworth. The three occupants and their pets evacuated safely before the home was engulfed. Firefighters battled the fire for hours, but the home was a total loss. The fire was linked to explosive fireworks set off near the house earlier.
