Travis Scott Attended USA Men’s Basketball Game Ahead of Arrest in Paris [PHOTOS]

Travis Scott was arrested on August 9 following an altercation with his bodyguard at a hotel in Paris.

Travis Scott’s trip to Paris for the 2024 Olympics has added to his legal woes.

On August 8, the 33-year-old rapper was in the City of Lights to take in a USA Men’s Basketball game. The next day, he was arrested following an altercation involving his bodyguard and a security guard at his hotel.

Shortly after 5 a.m. on August 9, police were called to the George V Hotel, where they arrested Scott “following his violent behavior regarding a security guard,” the Paris prosecutor’s office told E! News in a statement. “The latter had intervened to separate Travis from his own bodyguard.”

A representative for Scott commented on the arrest in a statement: “We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate.”

A source close to Scott told People that the incident occurred “after multiple days of being chased and harassed by paparazzi.” When Scott entered his hotel after “another evening of being swarmed with no help given Travis was arrested at his hotel after unfortunately getting into a fight with his own security detail, his bodyguard,” the source said.

Hours prior to his arrest at the five-star hotel, Scott, who shares two young children with Kylie Jenner, was spotted sitting courtside next to rapper Quavo at the men’s basketball semifinal match.

Scott looked on as Team USA took on Team Serbia. At one point in the game, Team USA – led by NBA stars Steph Curry and Lebron James – was down by 17 points. But they managed to secure a victory that will take them to the gold medal match-up with France on August 10.

​​Scott – whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II – enthusiastically cheered on Team USA during the high-stakes game at Bercy Arena. “That game was f*cking wilddddddd,” he posted on X afterward.

The controversial rapper was also in the stands with Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin as Team France and Team Germany faced off in Thursday’s other semi-final game.

Scott’s recent arrest comes a little more than a month after he was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespass of property in Miami.

On June 20, police responded to reports of a disturbance at the Miami Beach Marina. They found Scott standing by the dock and “yelling” at people on a nearby yacht. Officers reported that he had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath. Scott’s erratic disorderly behavior led police to arrest him. According to E! News, the disorderly intoxication charge was later dropped, though he is still facing a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
