The two were on and off for a while before seemingly fully committing to each other in recent years. Several insiders suggested that Garner and Miller might tie the knot sooner rather than later, as they appeared fully committed to each other.

Unfortunately, it seems there might be trouble in paradise for Garner and Miller following reports of Jennifer Lopez filing for divorce against Ben Affleck. A source told Life & Style that Garner and Miller are “on a break.”

“Jen’s had so much going on with Ben, it just took a toll,” the insider noted, adding, “and she and John ended up going their separate ways. It wasn’t her choice.”

The source noted that Miller “doesn’t enjoy competing” for Garner’s “attention,” which happened with Affleck. “Ben’s been turning to Jen [Garner] for advice and support, and that’s been a big source of annoyance for John,” the insider revealed. “He doesn’t enjoy competing with her ex-husband for her attention. … John likes Ben and tries to be understanding, but there’s only so much a guy can take.”

The source added that some “friends” of Garner’s think her split from Miller is “all Ben’s fault.”

“Jen can be very easy on Ben, but privately, even she admits he’s taken up a lot of her time – especially because they’ve had so much parenting to deal with,” the insider continued.

“Of course, it bothers John that Jen is so hyper-focused on her ex-husband,” the source said. “He cares deeply for Ben and sympathizes with what he is going through with Jennifer, but that doesn’t mean Jen should be the one to fix her ex-husband’s issues with his current wife. That makes no sense to anyone.”

Another source claimed that Miller tried his best to avoid the drama.

“John stays out of it,” the source said. “He knows it is none of his business, so he keeps away from all of that, because who wants to talk about their ex more than you have to? But Jen can’t get away from it because it is everywhere.”

The source added that Garner cares about Lopez and the kids involved. “But in the end, it is not Jen’s circus, not Jen’s monkeys, and she is done playing marriage counselor to her ex-husband and his wife.”
