Jennifer Lopez Said the Way Woody Harrelson Flirted With Her Was ‘Nasty’

Jennifer Lopez and Woody Harrelson were in a movie together. She did not find the way he flirted with her to be particularly effective.

In 1995, Jennifer Lopez starred in Money Train with Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes. Lopez had a boyfriend at the time, but she said both her co-stars flirted with her on set. She said Snipes took things too far, getting angry with her when she turned him down. Lopez said she thought the way Harrelson flirted was funny, but she also described it as “nasty.”

After Lopez had a series of films under her belt, a journalist asked her which of her co-stars had made the “clumsiest pass” at her. She immediately answered that her Money Train co-stars took the top prize.

“That would have to be a tie between Woody and Wesley,” she told Movieline in 1998. “Woody was more playful, but if I’d have gone for it, he totally would have.”

She said that he lewdly flirted with her when she spoke to him.

“I’d say, ‘Hey, Woody, how are you doing?’ He’d, like, stick out his tongue and flick it at me very nasty,” she said. “He was really funny about it.”

Lopez found Snipes’ flirtations less charming. He was more serious in his pursuit, and he didn’t take it well when she turned him down.

“But Wesley — even though I had a boyfriend at the time — went full court press. He was flirting with me — you always flirt with your costars, it’s harmless — then he just started getting a little more serious. He would invite us all out together and then at the end of the night, he’d drop me off last and try to kiss me. I’d be like, ‘Wesley, please, I’m not interested in you like that.’ He got really upset about it. His ego was totally bruised. He wouldn’t talk to me for two months.”

She said actors like Snipes were so used to getting their way that it came as a shock when they faced rejection.

“I was like, ‘What an a**hole.’ Actors are used to getting their way and to treating women like objects. They’re so used to hearing the word ‘Yes,’” she said. “Now, I suppose Wesley will call me going, ‘You b****! How dare you? I didn’t like you.’ It’s time for the truth to come out!”

She said many men pursued her

According to Lopez, having men pursue her was something she was used to. Each of her boyfriends and husbands made their intentions extremely clear at the start of their relationships.

“[They] pursued me in such a voracious way that I think, Oh my God, nobody has ever loved me like this,” she told Vanity Fair in 2011. “That’s how hard they go.”

She pointed to Sean “Diddy” Combs, Marc Anthony, and Ben Affleck as examples of the partners who pursued her.
