Prince Harry Believes King Charles Is the ‘Only Person’ Who Can Help Him Out of a Potentially Dangerous Situation, Insider Claims

Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, don’t have the best relationship, but it seems that Harry is counting on his dad for one thing -- and Charles hasn’t pulled through.

Prince Harry and his father, King Charles, had a decent relationship for years. But as Harry learned that he wanted less and less of a life within the royal family, relations became strained between him and his dad. These days, Harry and Charles do talk, but not as much as they used to.

Harry might not be super close with his dad, but insiders claim that he does think the king is the “only person” who can help him avoid ending up in a potentially dangerous situation.

Prince Harry thinks King Charles is the ‘only’ one who can keep him safe in the UK

Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, spent just under two years as working royals after they wed in 2018. While official members of the royal family, Harry and Meghan received royal security, which was funded with taxpayer dollars. But once they left and lost their HRH titles, that security disappeared. Since then, Harry has grown concerned about dangerous situations involving him and his family, and he insiders say he believes his father is the only one who can help.

“Harry is frightened and feels the only person who can do anything about it is his father,” a source close to the Duke of Sussex told People, adding that Harry is “determined to protect his family at all costs.”

When Harry was stripped of his security, there were rumors that Charles could simply tell the government to start funding it again. And although Charles’ team has not released any official word regarding Harry’s desire for his father to step in, a separate source told People that it’s “wholly incorrect” to believe that Charles has any power in the situation.

Is King Charles doing everything he can to protect Prince Harry?

It remains unclear whether Charles is trying his best to help Harry get security. Although it seems that the king doesn’t have the power some people think he does in this situation, it can’t be said whether Charles is still trying to pull any strings he can. Harry has said in the past that he will not bring Meghan and the kids back to the UK due to the potential dangers and threats they could receive.

Harry and Meghan have not visited the UK together since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral back in 2022. Harry continues to make trips on his own. Harry did sue Britain’s Home Office over his security being stripped, but he lost the case earlier this year. The prince has since filed an appeal in an attempt to change the outcome, but until then, it looks like Meghan and the kids will remain out of the UK at all costs.
