‘Sister Wives’ Star, Kody Brown Claims to Have ‘FOMO’ Following Splits From Original Wives

Season 19 of Sister Wives will continue where Season 18 left off. The main theme of the last three seasons has been the demise of Kody Brown’s plural marriages, and season 19 appears to be more of the same. Despite being three years into the unraveling of the plural family, Kody Brown has yet to figure out what divorce really means. In a recent clip, the Brown family patriarch accused his ex-wives of “punishing him” by moving on and doing things without him. He insists they know he has “FOMO.”

In the recent clip, Janelle Brown and Kody Brown’s daughter, Madison Brush, reveals she and her husband are thinking about buying property in Montana and that they, along with Janelle Brown, were going to check out some places. Janelle, willing to move, seems on board with the idea. In the clip, she notes she has nothing tying her to Flagstaff. Kody Brown, however, was not on board with the idea.

In a solo confessional, the father of 18 claims his family is “punishing him” by doing things without him because they know he suffers from “FOMO” (fear of missing out). Kody’s sentiments indicate he doesn’t understand that when your wives tell you the relationship is over, you are no longer involved in their decisions or activities.

It is unclear from the clip whether Janelle and her kids purchased property in Montana. Janelle bought land in North Carolina, where the Brush family is currently based. Mykelti Padron, the daughter of Kody and Christine Brown, currently resides in North Carolina, too.

Kody Brown has excluded his family for years

Almost no one feels bad that Kody Brown feels excluded. After all, it appears he is getting exactly what he wanted all along. Kody actively pushed his wives away and remained by Robyn’s side. His children and his former wives have all told him he isolated himself from the rest of the family. Kody’s favoritism and exclusion of the other wives are why he found himself in a monogamous marriage.

Sister Wives fans have spent years dissecting Kody Brown’s strange assertions and lack of empathy. Kody’s odd feelings and issues with “FOMO” are getting plenty of side-eye from fans of the series, too. Following the clip’s release, Reddit users pointed out that Kody wants to be the main character, regardless of his failed marriages. Several fans were quick to point out that he should be happier now than ever because he is with the only wife he claims to have actually fallen in love with. Still, the father of 18 seems as miserable as ever. ‘

Season 19 of Sister Wives is set to premiere on Sept. 15 on TLC.
