Jenn Tran insists she isn’t ready to date again after the disastrous end of her The Bachelorette season. Tran is still wading through the drama of the finale and all that has happened since it aired on Sept. 3. Still, she isn’t counting out revisiting a past love interest from the dating competition. In a recent podcast appearance, Jenn Tran didn’t dismiss the possibility of her ending up with Jonathon Johnson , a suitor she eliminated during her season of The Bachelorette .

The Bachelorette fans shouldn’t count out a happy ending with a member of Bachelor Nation for Jenn Tran, regardless of what happened with Devin Strader . Jonathon Johnson and Jenn Tran have reconnected since the end of the series. They aren’t dating right now, but that doesn’t mean they never will. While Tran insists she and Johnson are just really good friends at the moment, she doesn’t seem opposed to revisiting a potential relationship. During an interview on The Viall Files , Tran said she was willing to see where things go.

During her recent interview, Tran was quizzed about her connection to Johnson. She noted that she and Johnson had recently spent some time together in LA. She described him as a good person and friend but said she isn’t open to dating anyone right now. Still, Tran jested that “we’ll see” what happens.

When host Nick Viall suggested Johnson wasn’t Tran’s “type,” she denied it, noting that she never suggested Johnson wasn’t her type. While the TV personalities aren’t officially dating now, Tran appears to be keeping the door cracked for Johnson. She’ll spend the next few months in LA while competing on Dancing with the Stars , so anything could happen. Johnson, a creative director, currently resides in LA.

Following his elimination from the competition, Johnson spoke with Deadline about the competition and why he thought Tran axed him instead of Strader or Marcus Shoberg . Johnson said that after watching the episodes back, he could see that while he and Jenn both liked each other and were attracted to each other, they hadn’t developed the deep connection she had with Shoberg. He suggested Strader was “in love” with Tran while Tran was “in love” with Shoberg. He and Tran were a bit more playful and less serious together.

Johnson has remained upbeat about his time on the show. He seems happy to have met Tran, even if they didn’t end up together. Tran seems completely positive about her experience with Jonhson as well. Her feelings about Johnson are markedly different from her feelings about several of the show’s other contestants. Whether that will translate into a love connection is anyone’s guess.
