Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Looked Cozy and Happy at Lunch With Their Kids Amid Divorce

After filing for divorce in August, Jennifer Lopez stepped out with Ben Affleck for the first time this month. The former couple went to lunch with their children in Beverly Hills. Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner also reportedly made an appearance. As they move forward with divorce proceedings, Lopez and Affleck reportedly hope to make things as easy as possible for their children.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, Lopez and Affleck reunited for lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge. This was their first public outing since Lopez filed for divorce on Aug. 20 . While their children accompanied them, the former couple reportedly sat separately from them. A source said that they were surprisingly affectionate as they enjoyed their meal.

“Ben and JLo are currently at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel holding hands and kissing,” the source told Page Six . “The kids are with them, but at a separate table.”

While they appeared to have a good time, the status of their relationship has not changed.

“They all came together for a fun lunch so the kids could hang out,” a source told People . “[Jennifer’s] trying to be friendly with Ben. They are still moving forward with the divorce though. They are working out financial details amicably.”

As they separate, Lopez and Affleck reportedly hope to make things as easy as possible for their children . Lopez has twins, Max and Emme, and Affleck has three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.

“A divorce is never easy, but Jennifer doesn’t want to be selfish about it,” the source said. “The kids always got along and have fun together. It makes her happy seeing the kids happy together. Happy kids are her priority.”

Lopez hopes to maintain a relationship with Affleck’s children. She has spent time with his eldest daughter , Violet, and took his son, Samuel, shopping.

“Just because she’s not with Ben doesn’t mean that she doesn’t care about his kids,” a source told People . “She always cared about them. She spent months looking for the perfect house for their blended family last year. Now, when she’s back in LA, she wants to spend quality time with them before school resumes, and Violet is off to college.”

She reportedly is not happy with the separation

While Lopez filed for divorce, she allegedly was not happy with the end of her marriage.

“She’s furious,” a source told Page Six . “He has humiliated her . He was the one who initiated getting back together.”
