Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on Aug. 20, 2024 , after two years of marriage. However, reports suggest the exes were kissing on their brunch date. Unfortunately, a source said that their PDA doesn’t affect Lopez’s plans to move forward with the divorce.

After two years, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are officially calling it quits on their marriage. Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024 and listed their official date of separation as April 26, 2024. The couple hasn’t been together for months, with Affleck spending his summer in Los Angeles and Lopez spending hers on the East Coast in the Hamptons. They also allegedly haven’t communicated much before and after the divorce filing.

Affleck and Lopez surprised Bennifer fans by attending a brunch in September 2024. The couple met at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel. A source told Page Six that Affleck wanted to meet at the hot spot, as he hoped paparazzi would take their pictures and show the public that they’re remaining friendly post-divorce.

“It was Ben Affleck’s idea to meet there,” the insider said. “He wanted to show that they are friendly exes.”

According to the insider, Affleck and Lopez’s brunch got more than friendly. Some sources claimed they saw the couple kissing.

“Once they were together, he could not keep his hands off,” the source alleged of Affleck. “They have always had a lot of sexual chemistry. That was not planned. They are still attracted to one another.”

Reconciliation rumors are flying after Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s brunch. So, can the couple throw their divorce papers out the window and save their marriage?

Unfortunately, Lopez and Affleck still plan to divorce . “They are still moving forward with the divorce” and “working out financial details amicably,” an insider told People .

The insider added that the exes came together for a “fun lunch” so their kids could hang out. Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme Muñiz, 16, are close to Affleck’s three kids: Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel 12. Fin, Samuel, Max, and Emme hung out at brunch while Violet was in college.

The source added that Lopez enjoys seeing all the kids hang out. “It makes [Lopez] happy seeing the kids happy together,” they explained. “Happy kids are her priority.”

Noa added that he “put a lot of time and effort into loving” Lopez, and he now has some advice for her as she attempts to date after Affleck.

“Stay single for a while; take 12 months off,” Noa warned. “If she meets someone new, maybe keep it private and not get ­married again.”

“I would just say to Jen: you need to be yourself so you can find yourself,” he added.
