Kate Gosselin wants to make a return to TV.

The controversial Jon & Kate Plus 8 star is interested in pursuing another show, according to a recent report. But reviving her reality TV career will likely be difficult in the wake of her son Collin Gosselin’s disturbing abuse allegations .

Kate Gosselin is ‘hurting for money,’ according to new report

Kate and her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin , rose to fame thanks to their TLC reality show, which premiered in 2007. Jon & Kate Plus 8 followed the Pennsylvania parents and their eight kids — a set of twins and a set of sextuplets. After Kate and Jon divorced in 2009, the show rebranded as Kate Plus 8. It continued to air sporadically until 2017.

In 2021, Kate moved to North Carolina with four of her children and resumed her career as a nurse. But with her reality TV heyday long behind her, Kate is struggling financially, an insider revealed to In Touch .

“She doesn’t date or socialize with friends. Even her nursing job that paid her a fraction of what she made on Kate Plus 8 didn’t pan out,” the source said. “She’s hurting for money and facing the very real possibility of having to sell her house in North Carolina.”

Though Kate’s children are now grown up, she’s still hoping she could make a return to TV. However, various scandals make that unlikely. Most recently, her son Collin accused her of isolating him from his siblings, tying him up, and locking him in a basement confinement room as a child. Eventually, she had Collin institutionalized. His father eventually obtained custody of him and his sister Hannah. Collin no longer has contact with his mother.

“[Kate] is still trying to get a new reality show, but doors aren’t opening for her, especially now that she’s been painted a lunatic mom who zip-tied and locked her son in the basement room,” In Touch’s source said. “No one would be surprised if she started begging for handouts.”

Kate has attempted to revive her television career in the past. In 2019, she starred in the short-lived TLC show Kate Plus Date , which followed her as she tried to find a new love with help from a professional matchmaker and her twins, Mady and Cara Gosselin.

In 2023, Kate appeared in one episode of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test . She was eliminated in episode 1 after she was injured during a fall out of a helicopter.

“I’m still so pissed. I’m so angry,” Kate told People of her early exit from the show. “I was out, and it was done before it even started.”

Let’s start a Go Fund Me account and have her sign a pledge never to appear on television again before she gets the $2.50 collected. LOL!
