Suge Knight has spoken out about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest from prison, and he isn’t keeping quiet about calling out other hip-hop stars for not doing more to stop the mogul’s actions.

Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs spent years building his empire. But over the last year, it’s crumbled before his eyes. Things started coming to light in late 2023, when singer Cassie Ventura sued Combs for physical and sexual abuse during their relationship. Ever since, he’s been under a microscope, and it ultimately led to his arrest after far more was later uncovered about Diddy’s behavior through the years.

Now, producer Suge Knight is speaking out about the situation from prison — and he’s not keeping many opinions to himself. Knight has even called out rappers by name for not doing more to stop Diddy’s actions.

Suge Knight calls out Snoop Dogg and others for not being ‘whistleblowers’

It seems that the celebrity world is reeling after Diddy’s alleged “freak-offs” and other tendencies have come to light. Now, everyone is scrambling to avoid being named as one of the people who knew about Diddy’s actions, but former CEO of Death Row Records Suge Knight is calling people out directly. In an interview with News Nation, he named Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, and Jay-Z as three rappers who knew what Diddy was doing but failed to put a stop to it, saying they should have been “whistleblowers.”

Diddy “stepped in sh**,” Knight said of Diddy’s entry into an already-corrupt hip-hop industry. “Even if he wiped off his shoe, it still stinks. But he’s not the only one. They got all the tapes.” Knight’s words suggested that many more people were aware of what was happening; he named people like Clive Davis and Jimmy Iovine as well, though Davis’ team released a statement denying any involvement.

Knight also revealed that Cassie was not the only woman Diddy physically assaulted; he referred to another woman who was allegedly paid off by Interscope Records after Diddy “did things to her you should never do to a woman.”

Suge Knight calls for a stop to the abuse in the rap industry

Knight didn’t exactly have anything good to say about Diddy, but he did say that Diddy was likely also abused, which is why he continued to perpetuate the cycle. Knight also called for a stop to the abuse in the industry, saying that it was up to those currently in the industry to fix it.

“If we don’t fix it and do something about it, history will constantly be repeating itself,” he said.

Knight is currently in prison serving a 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter, and he believes Diddy “should get his time out the way,” saying that he “had a great run.”

“I’ve been locked up for 10 years, and I ain’t had a bad day yet,” Knight said. “There’s a lot of things we can do to help each other, and it’s never too late for help.”
