Suge Knight, founder of Death Row Records, has been one of just a few people not afraid to speak their minds about the allegations against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

For years, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was the face of hip hop. He is the founder of Bad Boy Records but also had his own hit songs, and in the early 2000s, anyone who was anyone attended Diddy’s now-infamous white parties.

Today, though, he sits in jail as he awaits his trial on number charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. His fall from grace has been a staggering one, and it all started when his ex, Cassie Ventura, sued him in 2023 for years of physical and sexual abuse.

One of Diddy’s longtime rivals, Suge Knight, is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter, and Knight recently said what he believes might happen to Diddy if he goes to prison.

Suge Knight says someone might try to hurt Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in prison

Right now, Diddy is being carefully watched while he is in jail awaiting trial, but Death Row Records founder Suge Knight hasn’t been shy about speaking up regarding Diddy’s situation. He took to his podcast, “Collect Call with Suge Knight,” to offer his own thoughts on the Diddy drama. He’s also done several interviews regarding everything going on with the situation, and he recently said that someone might try to hurt Diddy if he does end up going to prison.

“I mean, one of the things is this: I don’t care who you are, prison and jail is a negative environment,” Diddy said when talking to News Nation. “Somebody can do something to him and get a name for themself, they gonna actually do it. Or if they can do whatever they feel they got to do to prove themself.”

Knight did say, too, that he thinks Diddy has to “learn” from the mistakes he’s made. “We got to learn from our mistakes. Everything don’t have to be a mistake, you got to better yourself. But we all know what we signed up for in life.”

Suge Knight says Diddy’s ‘life is in danger’

Knight knows what prison is like, so he can speak to what the experience might look like for Diddy. However, he voiced concern over what could happen to Diddy from the outside.

“I’ll tell you what, Puffy, your life is in danger ’cause you know the secrets of who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in,” Knight said, according to The Source. He was referring to the idea that someone might try to prevent Diddy from talking. “You know they gonna get you if they can… I turned myself in. Sometimes you gotta face the music, that’s most of the time.”

Diddy’s trial is set to begin in May 2025.
