24-hour temp workforce registration event coming soon; here’s what you need to know

SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — The City of Shreveport, Caddo American Job Center, G-Unit, KMJJ, and the Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce have partnered to hold a twenty-four-hour temp workforce registration event.

The event will be held at the Shreveport Convention Center starting at Noon on Tuesday, July 9, and ending at Noon on Wednesday, July 10th.  Perspective temporary employees can be entered into the Caddo American Job Center database.  You must bring your Louisiana state-issued ID. G-Unit and other businesses will use this database to find workers for events and more.

They are looking for people for positions including concessions, ushers, parking lot attendants, bartenders and barbacks, security personnel, admissions staff, cashiers, janitorial staff, waitresses, and more.

They also want to make contact with movers, skilled laborers, catering companies, food trucks, moving companies, janitorial companies, security companies, black car companies, and commercial drivers.

The event will also feature entertainment, food trucks, and a party atmosphere, all while getting people signed up for job opportunities.

If you can’t make it to the event, you can sign up in person at Caddo American Job Center, located at 2121 Fairfield Ave.; they are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
