Accident involving 5 cars and an 18-wheeler impacting Shreveport traffic. Find out where.

Just after 3 p.m. Thursday, July 25, Shreveport Police Department reported that a major accident occurred on I-220 eastbound at the Cross Lake Bridge.

The major accident resulted in the blocking of I-220.

Six vehicles were involved including an 18-wheeler. According to police, no serious injuries have been reported.

Traffic is being moved to the shoulder but police are advising drivers to avoid this area until the accident is cleared.

Corporal Chris Bordelon, Shreveport Police Department Public Information Officer said, “stay safe and plan alternate routes if possible.”
