A couple was arrested after staying in a motel without paying, according to the Ottumwa Police Department. 30-year-old Mercedes Reisch of Eldon (Left) was charged with 3rd degree theft – 2 prior convictions – property not exceeding $750, possession of controlled substance – methamphetamine – 1st offense, and burglary – 3rd degree – non vehicle.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — Gunshots in an Iowa mall sent people running Monday and one person was injured and expected to survive, police and witnesses say. Davenport Police posted a statement on Facebook that the wounded person had non-life-threatening injuries following the shooting inside NorthPark Mall in Davenport, an east-central Iowa city near the line with Illinois.
City of Dubuque seeking public input for Central Ave. and White St.

Crash in southern Minnesota injures Mason City woman
FARIBAULT COUNTY, Minn. – A North Iowa woman was hurt in a southern Minnesota auto accident on Sunday. It happened around 2:49 pm in Faribault County. The Minnesota State Patrol says Margaret Linda Hastings, 76 of Mason City, IA, was driving a 2017 Toyota Camry west on Interstate 90 when she lost control between mile markers 114 and 115 and went into the median.
