Pedestrian Struck and Killed Outside Days Hotel During Early Sunday Morning Hours; Driver Facing Charges
DANVILLE — A pedestrian was killed on Illinois Route 1, Gilbert Street, on Sunday near the Days Hotel, according to the Illinois State Police. The preliminary investigation indicates ISP Troop 7 units responded to a fatal traffic crash involving a pedestrian at approximately 4:11 a.m. Sunday, July 21 at the Days Hotel, 77 N. Gilbert St., Danville.
