THURSDAY: Happy Independence Day! Today we’ll see mostly cloudy skies with some showers and isolated thunderstorms possible in the afternoon across East Central Minnesota and into Northwest Wisconsin. Models have trended a bit northwest with our shower activity, with showers become more likely in the evening, and steadier rain south of Duluth overnight. Firework viewing may be impacted, though showers don’t look to be as numerous until after midnight. Winds out of the E at 5-10 MPH will keep temperatures in the upper 60s by the lake, while inland areas reach the low to mid 70s.
