Motorcycle crash kills driver in Delaware County

TOWN OF COLCHESTER, NY (WIVT/WBGH) — A motorcycle rider from Sidney died from severe head and internal injuries after a crash in the Town of Colchester.

The Town of Colchester Police Department announced Friday that on July 6, Larry Plows, 45, of Sidney, was found on an embankment of West Trout Brook Road in Colchester after police located his Harley Davidson in the trees off the side of the southbound side of the road. CPD responded to the crash to assist NYS DEC ENCON after they located the accident.

Ambulanz, Downsville Fire Department and EMS and Walton Fire Department and EMS arrived on scene and assisted at the scene, as well as the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.

Plows was found with “serious head and internal injuries,” according to CPD. Once Plow was found, EMS took him to Delaware Valley Hospital where Plow tragically succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
