Arizona Man Receives A Prison Sentence Of Almost Three Years For Drug Trafficking
On Friday, the U.S Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona announced that a Tucson man has been sentenced to 33 months in prison for smuggling drugs across the border. In May 2019, a release stated that Reynaldo Parra-Villagrana, who was 27 at the time, delivered 878.8 grams of pure methamphetamine to an undercover officer in the parking lot of a sporting goods store.

This summer, the Delta Dental Institute released its 2023 Community Impact Report highlighting the philanthropic investments that Delta Dental made last year to support the oral and overall health of communities across the country. According to the report, Delta Dental of Arizona, which is headquartered in Scottsdale, contributed $2.1 million, positively impacting 252,094 people.

7 Arrested in Arizona on Hospice, Behavioral Health Fraud Charges
Seven individuals in Arizona face federal charges for their alleged roles in defrauding Medicare out of hundreds of millions of dollars in total. The charges for the most part stem from submitting Medicare claims for patients who were not eligible for hospice care, as well as fraud related to behavioral health services. The arrests were the result of a two-week nationwide federal law enforcement action that resulted in criminal charges for 193 individuals for a total of more than $2.75 billion in alleged false claims, as well as opioid abuse schemes.
