Local bands to compete for a chance at opening for The Marshall Tucker Band
BURKESVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - Bands across the state are gearing up for a big opportunity to open up for The Marshall Tucker Band. The annual River Festivus in Burkesville will feature a Battle of the Bands, where multiple musical acts will perform on day one of the festival. The grand prize will be $2,000 and the opening spot for The Marshall Tucker Band the following night.

Boone County approves commercial development near Richwood Road
The Boone County Planning Commission approved a concept development plan and several variances that will pave the way for a new commercial development near Richwood Road.
