GROVE, Okla. — The Grand River Dam Authority Police Department continues searching waters near Patricia Island for a man who went into the lake and did not resurface.

Patricia Island is located east of Grove.

The man jumped into the lake, from a boat, to assist a child who had fallen off a towed water device and did not resurface, said Justin Alberty, GRDA spokesman.

Officers responded to the scene soon after and began the search.

Elsewhere in Delaware County, GRDA officers responded to a reported drowning near the Flint Creek Waterpark, west of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

    A 26-year-old man was recovered.

He was later pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
