Sioux Falls, SD – Unsettled weather continues for the Tri-State area, particularly along and east of Interstate 29. The US National Weather Service Sioux Falls South Dakota issued a forecast indicating the highest risk for thunderstorms on Tuesday. The forecast shows a 40% chance of rain, particularly around areas like Brookings and Madison.

Not deploying the National Guard in this 2024 event was a contrast with how important those troops’ efforts were for us in 2007 — and how consequential it was to have them on duty in our community. Gov. Mike Rounds, who was in the state and on duty, was available to quickly help us.
Game and Fish Commission Approved $102 M Budget; Dubois man awarded EOY
The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission met last week in Buffalo. The seven-member board approved the annual Wyoming Game and Fish Department budget — a regular task at July meetings. The standard operational budget, which supports the day-to-day work of the department, was approved at $102 million. Game and Fish doesn’t receive state general fund dollars. The bulk of the budget comes from sportspeople.
