    MCPD: Suspects crash into Silver Spring gas station in attempt to steal ATM

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) said it is investigating after someone drove their vehicle into a Sunoco gas station and tried to take the ATM Tuesday morning.

    Police said that just after 2 a.m. on July 16, officers were called to the 12000 block of Cherry Hill Road in Silver Spring for a burglary.

    ‘Frightening behavior’: Women say stalker followed them home in Foggy Bottom

    While on the scene, police learned the suspects drove their vehicle into the store and tried to take the ATM. They were not successful and drove away.

    The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call police at 301-279-8000.
