Truck stuck in sinkhole after storms in Juniata County
JUNIATA COUNTY, Pa. — Heavy storms across central Pennsylvania last night had many residents waking up to extensive damage this morning. A large sinkhole opened up on Route 333 in Juniata County, trapping a truck at the bottom. It is unclear exactly when the sinkhole opened or when the truck got stuck, but heavy rain fell for hours last evening and overnight.

Harrisburg Police were called to an active assault in the 100 block of Pine Street at 11 p.m. Arriving officers were speaking with the residents of the apartment, Kyle and Chanise Burton, when they saw a dead woman inside, so "an investigation was immediately initiated," as stated in the police release, noting that "Detectives and forensics personnel responded to the apartment and continued the investigation throughout the night."

Penn State College Of Medicine Gets $400K Grant
(Hershey, PA) -- The Penn State College of Medicine is getting a grant for pediatric cancer research. Hyundai Hope on Wheels recently presented the college with a 400-thousand-dollar check to help in the fight against the disease. Pediatric oncologist Dr. Chandrika Behura said the college is researching how to develop less toxic medicines for children to reduce side effects later in life. Hyundai Hope on Wheels has donated more than three-million-dollars to Penn State Health Children's Hospital and the College of Medicine since 2011.
