Leesburg man flips pickup truck after drinking at local saloon
A Leesburg man was arrested for DUI after flipping a pickup truck on the way home from drinking Twisted Tea at the Dirty South Saloon. Officers responded to a single vehicle crash on the right side of the roadway in the northbound lane on U.S. Highway 441 around 2:03 a.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Officers observed a black Dodge pickup truck found upside down with the cab of the truck crushed. The two occupants, one of which was later identified as 33-year-old Bradley Allen Vordemark, had already exited the vehicle and were walking around with no apparent injuries.
Man suspected of drunk driving during traffic accident blows three times legal limit
A Fruitland Park man who was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving during a traffic accident blew three times the legal limit when tested. The Leesburg Police Department received a call of a vehicle accident near Perkins Street and Sunshine Avenue around 8:14 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the LPD. An officer responded post-crash to assist in a criminal investigation relative to the driver, 38-year-old Harry Bob Elcar, suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Theft suspect caught after escaping hospital in Palm Coast, sheriff’s office says
PALM COAST, Fla. – The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has tracked down a theft suspect who reportedly escaped from a hospital in Palm Coast on Saturday. Anthony John Romine, 29, had been arrested for a felony petit theft warrant and was being held for medical clearance at the AdventHealth hospital along State Road 100 when he allegedly escaped that morning, the sheriff’s office said on social media.
