SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – The Further Faster Harder Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit aimed at helping veterans use their voice and speak their truth through different outlets.

“Our goal is if we could help one person, it was worth it,” said Founder and Executive Director Alex Winebarger.

He’s the brains behind the latest documentary, Ranger .

“We have three documentaries completed, two of them released on Prime,” Winebarger told 7NEWS. “The third one will be released coming up in February of 2025.”

The production is in honor of his brother, David Waterhouse, the Army Ranger 7 NEWS first introduced to you last week .

“When we started this whole project, we started the documentary for my kids so they could understand when they got old enough that no wonder he’s a little weird,” said Waterhouse.

Waterhouse was an Army Ranger who fought in several wars.

He struggled with his transition home from the military, so his brother helped him to be able to articulate what his experience was like through film .

“And what it evolved into was a bunch of families watching kind of the beta version that we sent out just to see what the public reaction would be,” Waterhouse shared. “And their response was so overwhelmingly positive.”

Waterhouse said it can help bring families together.

“Hey, I understand my son better. Hey, I understand my brother better. I, my, you know, my husband better,” Waterhouse recounted.

Winebarger said it even helped him finally be able to share the stories it took years to hear.

“I was 14 when he came home and you’re able to see differences, you know?” Winebarger said. “I mean, I didn’t hear about it for a while.”

He hopes that the foundation can continue to get those stories told to bring healing to veterans and their families.

“You know, as being a younger brother of someone who serves special operations, you see the change,” said Winebarger.

To Alex Winebarger and the team at Further Faster Harder Foundation, Thank You for what you do to help our veterans.
