Allen, Hairston to represent Tech at SAAC meetings
Louisiana Tech’s Will Allen and Anaya Hairston will represent Louisiana Tech Athletics at the Summer Conference USA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) meetings. Allen, a redshirt junior on the Bulldog Basketball team, and Hairston, a sophomore on the Bulldog Volleyball team, will begin their representation July 25-27 in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for the three-day event that will include a variety of group sessions and community service activities, providing a forum for student-athletes to express ideas, concerns, and options relating to NCAA and Conference legislation as well as other issues that affect their welfare.
Cedar Creek announces Advanced Placement Award winners
Cedar Creek School announced that 25 students garnered Advance Placement Awards for their scores on AP exams. “Our students performed exceptionally well on their Advanced Placement test this year,” said Head of School Cindy Hampton. “This is a testament to the commitment of these students and their teachers to upholding a high level of academic rigor. We are extremely proud of our AP students and their teachers.”

RUSTON, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Louisiana Tech is a combined 6-18 through two seasons with Sonny Cumbie leading the program. If he wants to stay in Ruston, that has to get better. This year for the first time in the Cumbie era, the Bulldogs have a starting quarterback with experience in the system. Jack Turner played in 8 games in 2023. Turner completed 56 percent of his passes for 1,017 yards, with five touchdowns and five interceptions.
