Sioux City, IA (KCAU)- Tysons Foods has deployed its meals for disaster relief, providing hot meals to those impacted by the floods.

Volunteers from the company could be seen handing out ice, water, and protein on Monday to support those in need.

Since the 2012 floods, Tyson has deployed 27 natural disaster sites to provide to countless food banks.

“We want to give back to the community, we want to have team members out here. So, we believe they’re our neighbors too, and we feel that being able to go through what they’re going through that this is one thing they won’t have to worry about,” volunteer Jeanie McCulley said.

Tyson estimates that one pound of protein is equal to four servings.
