Children welcome at KCAU 9 Kid’s Zone at Saturday in the Park

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — If you’re planning on checking out Saturday in the Park, be sure to take the kids to visit the KCAU 9 Kid’s Zone!

There will be plenty of fun things for children to take part in, from plenty of inflatables, Pixie’s Pony Tales, Color Bee Face Painting, Mr. Twister’s balloon sculptures, and the Meyer Petting Zoo.

Children are reminded to wear socks if checking out the inflatables. A wristband for all-day use of the inflatables is available for $20, or tickets can be purchased. Wristbands are not valid on the pony rides.

The Meyer Petting Zoo is open from noon to 5 p.m. and is free. Children can get a cone filled with pellets to feed the animals for $1.

Mr. Twister is a popular performer in the Rivercade/KCAU Kid’s Zone each year, entertaining children with his wacky assortment of baloons.

Pixies’ Pony Tales gives children the chance to ride the cutest and friendliest ponies in Siouxland. Please not that there is a weight limit to ride the ponies.

Color Bee Face Painting is new to the Kid’s Zone and will give children a variety of designs to choose from for their face.

The KCAU 9 Kid’s Zone runs from noon to 7 p.m. and can be found on the top of the hill.
