SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A day after the end of Saturday In The Park , volunteers worked hard today to tear everything down.

Over the course of the day, starting at 9 a.m., volunteers from a handful of local organizations worked hard to make Grandview Park look like Saturday In The Park never happened.

Saturday in the Park draws audiences from across Siouxland and beyond

Roughly 90 volunteers helped clean up, and one volunteer says it’s a great feeling to help out.

“It’s pride in the community. People take pride in the community to make sure that this thing, this park, this Saturday in the park venue goes on for years to come to make sure that the community has something to come and celebrate,” said Mark Shecher, a Saturday in the Park volunteer.

Plans for next year’s free music concert are expected to be discussed in a few months.
