SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The 3rd Annual Red Sky Nation Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives Pow Wow took place at Riverside Park this weekend.

Some of the goals of this pow-wow are to offer education and resources, and raise awareness of the MMIR crisis.

“We’re trying to create a safe space, a place of healing, a place somewhere where our families that have been affected can share a story. So we’re just trying to create that space for them and the community come and witness that and maybe commemorate their loved one.”
