    Sioux City PD seeking information on 5 fires in possible arson investigation

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Authorities are asking the public’s help to find those responsible for a possible arson investigation after responding to five fire calls Monday.

    The Sioux City Police Department said in a release that officers and Sioux City Fire Rescue responded to five fires Monday five fires that appear to be arson. The first took place Monday at 1:32 a.m. at a residence at 1220 Floyd Blvd. A second fire was reported at a residence at 1116 14th St. at 3:01 a.m.

    Sioux City council rejects bids for treatment plant

    The last three took place late in the evening, with the third fire being in a dumpster at 711 9th St. at 10:11 p.m. Then at 10:48 p.m., there were two fires reported. One being at 612 9th St. in another dumpster, and the last being in a dump style trailer at 905 Jackson St.

    The police department, the fire marshall, and arson investigators are investigating the five fires. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sioux City Police Department at (712)279-6440 or Crime Stoppers at (712)258-TIPS.
