    Siouxland Coalition against Human Trafficking celebrating 10 years

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Siouxland Coalition against Human Trafficking is going to observe its 10th anniversary since its founding in Thursday.

    The non-profit works to raise awareness of human trafficking as the group also works to abolish all forms of human trafficking. The group normally hosts educational activities of presentations, trainings, governmental proclamations, billboards, and tables at community events.

    As part of their 10th anniversary, they want to offer more through the year, such as Red Sand Projects in all three Siouxland states, showings of the documentary, Gridshock, PSAs, and a new portable exhibit.

    They are also encouraging businesses to “Light Up in Blue” for January which is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month and to participate in the Iowa Secretary of State’s program for businesses, Iowa Businesses against Trafficking .

    Okoboji Rocks Summer Concert returns to Siouxland

    They will also be hosting a Walk for Freedom on Oct. 19 in conjunction with A21 .
