    Proposal for new Chick-fil-A location moves forward

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Sioux City is another step closer to reality.

    On Monday, the Sioux City council approved a proposal by Chick-fil-A, Inc. for the purchase of land along Hamilton Boulevard. The 5,000 square foot restaurant is set to be located at the intersection of Wesley Parkway, Omaha and 14th Streets and Hamilton Boulevard.

    The city is selling a portion of a vacated alley to Chick-fil-A for about $42,000.

    Monday’s approval was the first of three required under city code. This item was a part of the meeting’s consent agenda and was passed without comment.
