    Downtown Sioux City to host Gays Eating Garlic Bread for Siouxland Recovery Fund

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Downtown Sioux City’s first-ever Gays Eating Garlic Bread street festival is set to take place!

    The event is free and open to everyone. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, to celebrate, support a great cause, and enjoy a day of food, performances, and community spirit at 4th & Virginia Street.

    The festival will take place on Aug. 10 on 4th and Virginia Street. It will feature special family hours from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with activities for all ages. From 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a shift in the evening to local music and a free drag show.

    The festival will also have live music, raffle prizes, auction items, a free drag show for guests 18 and older, food and drinks from various vendors, vegan options, cupcakes, fresh mocktails, and more. All the funds raised will go towards the Siouxland Recovery Fund.

    Gays Eating Garlic Bread is sponsored by Eco Hub, Guitarx Upcycled Instruments, Hardline Coffee Co., Britton Hacke Photography, SUX PRIDE, SMASH,  and Downtown Partners.
