SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church is in the final stages of setting up for its three day extravaganza, GreekFest, kicking off tomorrow.

As pastries are being sealed and packaged for their annual bake sale, the food lines and bar are being set up along with tents and seating arrangements for guests. Until a few days ago, the church was short on volunteers, but was happy to announce Thursday that they got the help needed to put on the annual tradition and would like to thank the community for the support.

Hartley Summer Celebration to be held next weekend

“We enjoy doing it because we love welcoming people here to our church,” festival co-chair Andrea Konidas said. “It’s not just about a religion and a culture, it’ what they mean when they’re combined together. We just love having everyone here at our home and sharing what we love to do with the community.”

Tickets are required for food and drink, but admission is free, and all ages are welcome.

KCAU 9 is a proud sponsor of this event.
