SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Green Valley Golf Club held the annual First Tee Siouxland Golf Tournament on Friday.

More than 50 people participated in the golf tournament, including plenty of children. The idea behind the tournament is to raise money for kids to learn golf and help them get involved in the sport.

“I love playing golf,” golfer Kooper said. “My first year, amazing. It’s just like, I know I’m going to be a future golf player some day and I’m like, you know what you might mess up in life but I know you’ll achieve those back and be great again.”

Lunch and dinner were also provided to the golfers, and three live auctions were held. Many of the kids said they had fun handing out food and watching the golfers get ready for the tournament.
