CLEBURNE, Texas (KCAU) – The Sioux City Explorers finished up game 3 of their 4-game series against the Cleburne Railroaders. The Explorers fought for a chance at a comeback win after facing a tough loss Friday night that resulted in the end of J.D. Scholten’s win streak.

The Explorers started strong in the 2nd. Nick Shumpert brought in a double home run to kick the game off 2-0.

Tied up in the 4th, Cameron Cannon found a sweet spot down the third base line to bring Scott Ota home and the lead up to 3-2.

However, Cleburne found their strength in the 5th earning 4 runs and taking the lead 8-4.

Explorers gained another run in the 7th but it wasn’t enough to close the gap as the Railroaders controlled the lead 11-5.
