    New dates set for Woodbury County Disaster Survival Training sessions

    SIOUX CITY, Iowa ( KCAU ) — The Woodbury County Emergency Management has scheduled new dates for the Disaster Survival Training series, which were previously postponed due to flooding.

    According to a release, the sessions are free and will help residents learn how to effectively respond to various emergencies.

    The release states that the sessions will include topics including preparedness and prevention, having enough food, water, and shelter supplies, building an emergency kit, and more. Each session will run from 7 to 9 p.m.

    Training Schedule and Locations:

    • August 13: Western Iowa Tech, Cargill Auditorium, 4647 Stone Ave. (entrance 14)
    • August 20: Smithland Fire Station, 112 Hickory St., Smithland
    • August 27: Moville Fire Station, 24 W. Main St., Moville
